Entering the From Player to Page competition is not something to be forgotten. As such, we are "Celebrating Past Success" by delivering foamboard versions of the winning entries from 2021 to the participating schools where they can be displayed and the achievements of those entrants celebrated!
Join us on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 at 5 - 6 pm with Philipp Stern, the Game Design Lead of Okomotive, as he shares his experiences on how to transform their ideas into reality.
The event is open to all participants in this year’s competition, as well as our finalists from last year’s competition.
The Event
Working with FromPlayerToPage, Okomotive has agreed to speak to students and share their experiences about what they do and how they transform ideas into something tangible. Furthermore, FromPlayerToPage has designed guided exercises during the talk so that students can put the ideas discussed into practice.
Seats for active participation and feedback is limited to only 30 students and are open to registered schools and entrants through a lucky draw.
For those who are interested, just email info@fromplayertopage.com i) your name, and ii) which school you are from, and we will enter you into the lucky draw. We will reach out to the lucky winners on Monday, June 20th! We are looking forward to this exciting event!
FromPlayerToPage reached out to Okomotive because their first game, FAR: Lone Sails, was widely praised its atmospheric storytelling.
“Far: Lone Sails is a poem disguised as a video game… more meaning, conveyed silently, than many major AAA games released so far this year.” – Charlie Hall, Polygon.com
Their goal is to connect gameplay and atmosphere to create meaningful and breathtaking experiences and to that end, they recently published a sequel, FAR: Changing Tides.
