'From Player to Page' aims to encourage writing in different creative industries. As such we have curated an array of prizes for our winners and runners-up that promote writing, study, and creative expression.
The judges will decide on 5 finalists from each category (A, B and C)
15 finalists in the Junior section / 15 finalists in the Senior section.
All 30 finalists will be invited to the live writing workshop hosted by Lancaster University
When you perform exceptionally well, it is important to have something to show for it!
Platinum certificates will be awarded to all finalists in each category across both age groups, in recognition of your achievements.
Finalists of the Junior and Senior sections will be awarded with a coaching session with Lancaster University's Creative Writing department. The 3-hour workshop under the expert guidance of the Lancaster team will develop the skills of already impressive writers.
The academics at Lancaster and members of the gaming sector will provide finalists with constructive feedback on their submissions. They will explain how the finalists can improve upon their work with comments they can use to improve their academic writing overall.
Experience great stories through the medium of VR and start writing the narratives that could eventually become part of video games of the future!
Each category winner - 3 Juniors & 3 Seniors - will receive the grand prize...
All winners and runners-up will receive the IOS application, GoodNotes. A combination digital notepad and PDF markup tool. Create notes with your keyboard or handwrite them with an Apple Pencil.
Students joining a competition like 'From Player to Page' often do so because they have a true passion for video games.
When that passion is combined with impressive writing skills, it opens up a whole world of new opportunities.
However, not everyone can be a winner. So to recognise the enthusiasm of all participants, a gold digital certificate of participation will be delivered to everyone who enters!
